Terms and Conditions

All reservations shall be made through travel agent or directly with Marco Polo Tours (hereinafter called “MPT”). Reservations will be considered definite after a deposit is received. All prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, a tour invoice will be issued by email or fax.

<Cruise & Stay>

<Coastal Cruise & Stay>              
$300-500 per person

<China & Orient Tour> 
$800-1200 per person

Certain tours may require a higher deposit, the exact amount will be advised at the time of booking.

Final and full payment is required 90 days prior to departure.

Air transportation and land arrangements, extra taxes and fees may be additional depending on the type of packages. All prices are subject to change without notice and in the case of extreme currency fluctuation.
Gratuities, meals, optional tours, charges for passport, laundry, liquor, hotel resort fee, baggage fee, usage of telephone, fax, e-mail and telex, travel and baggage insurance and items of personal nature and not specifically listed as included.

Travel document will be sent 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

All cancellations must be made in writing to MPT. All vacation packages are 100% non-refundable and non-changeable.

All tour/package rate and airfare quoted are subject to change without prior notice. Pricing and availability on all packages and flights are not guaranteed until they are confirmed.  Once a booking is completed, pricing adjustment will not be allowed.

We recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance immediately upon booking.

You will require a passport to travel and it must remain valid for at least 6 months after the scheduled return of the tour. Possession of valid travel documents is your own responsibility.
You must ensure that you comply with all entry or visitor visa and health and vaccination requirements of the countries you intend to visit. It is your responsibility to meet all local entry and health requirements.

Once a booking is made, any change is subject to a minimum administration fee of $50 per change.

Marco Polo Tours acts only as agent and/or intermediary for the independent suppliers. The Suppliers providing transportation, conveyance or accommodations are independent contractors and are not agents or employees of MPT. All tickets, coupons and receipts issued by MPT and all arrangements for transport or conveyance or hotel accommodations are made by MPT as agent of the suppliers. MPT assumes no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be caused either by reason of defect in any vehicle, or through the act or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger, or carrying out the arrangements of the tour(s) or otherwise. MPT accepts no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine or other cause or acts of God. The airline(s) concerned are not held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time when the passenger is not onboard their planes or conveyance. The passenger’s contract in use by the airline(s) concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and purchaser or these tours and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall have or incur no responsibility or liability to any traveller aside from their liability as common carriers.
