Day 1     Canada - Hong Kong
Begin your adventure.  Depart from Vancouver or your hometown with connection in Vancouver to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific Airways.  En-route, you will cross the International Dateline.
 
Day 2     Hong Kong - Bangkok
Arrive Hong Kong International Airport, connect to a same day flight to Bangkok.  Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 3     Bangkok
Today, you will take a half-day tour.  Visit the Grand Palace, the home of the Kings of Siam of the Chakri Dynasty, originally built by King Rama I, it served as the royal residence until 1946.  Today the palace is still used on certain occasions for visiting royalty or special guests of teh Kingdom.  Adjoining the Grand Palace you will find the Temple of Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keo), this is probably the best known of the royal temples.  It is regarded as the most important temple in all Thailand and it is the venue of many of the numerous religious ceremonies in which the King participates, especially at the beginning of each of the three seasons when His Majesty personally changes the elaborate robes of the Buddha image, carved out of a single piece of emerald-green jasper.  This evening, enjoy a Thai Dinner & Classical Dances.  There is no better way to wrap up the evening after spending the day visiting the city and especially the Grand Palace.  In the Thai-surroundings, the traditional Thai food, served in traditional Thai manner, is just a prelude to a presentation of some of the most colorful, classical and folk dances of the Kingdom - some of them dating back hundreds of years to the early days of Siam.  This spectacular performance more than compensates for the small inconvenience of removing your shoes and sitting on the floor, Thai-style.
 
Day 4     Bangkok
With an early morning departure, you will travel 120km to Damnern Saduak where boat people sell their wares from boat to boat or boat to shore.  You will be amazed at the variety of goods and products that are to be purchased - you may even try your bargaining skills.  En route to the Rose Garden for heir cultural show, you will also stop at Nakorn Pathom to see the Phra Pathom Chedi which is said to be the tallest Buddhist monument in the world.  A buffet lunch will be provided at the Rose Garden prior to enjoying a presentation of the Thai wedding ceremony, a monk's ordination, Thai boxing, sword-fighting, classical and folk dances from all parts of Thailand.
 
Day 5     Bangkok - Singapore
Today, you will fly to Singapore.  Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 6     Singapore
This morning, you will take an orientation tour that begins with a drive around the Civic District past the Padang, Circket Club, historic Parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall.  Stop at the Merlion Park for great views of Marina Bay and a picture-taking opportunity with the Merlion, a mythological creature that is part lion and part fish.  Next, visit Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore's oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples, before driving past Chinatown to watch craftsmen at work at the Local Handicraft Centre.  Then proceed to the National Orchid Garden, located within Singapore Botanic Gardens, which boasts a sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants.  Your tours will end with a stop at Little India, where will entrance you with the scent of joss sticks, jasmine and spices.  Rest of the day is at your leisure.
 
Day 7     Singapore
Today is a free day at your leisure.
 
Day 8     Singapore - Kuala Lumpur
Today, you will fly to Kuala Lumpur.  Upon arrival, transfer to hotel.

Day 9     Kuala Lumpur
This morning, you will be picked up from hotel around 9:00 am for Kuala Lumpur city tour.  On this tour, see the contrast between the Indo-Moorish archutecture and the ultra modern edifices.  Photo stop at the Royal Palace.  Visit the National Museum, journey through the beautiful Lake Gardens and pause for a moment at the National Monument.  Drive pass the elegant Jamek Mosque, the bustling Chinatown and the Independce Square.  Photo stop at Petronas Twin-Tower - the symol of modern Malaysia and the tallest twin-tower in the world!  Final stop is to witnes pewter craftsmanship at the Royal Selangor Visitor Center.  This afternoon is free at your leisure.
 
Day 10    Kuala Lumpur - Malacca - Kuala Lumpur
Today, you will take a full-day excursion to Malacca.  Depart from Kuala Lumpur, take a relaxing, scenic 2-hour drive south of Kuala Lumpur takes you to Malacca, the oldest trading port in Malaysia which has undergone Portuguese, Dutch and English rule.  Visit Stadhuys - the DutchSquar and from there take a walk up St. Paul's Hill for a panormaic view of the Malacca Straits and the old town of Bandar Hilir.  At the top are the famous Portuguese Fort de Santiago and the ruins of St. Paul's Church, lined by 17th Century Dutch tombstones.  Stop for a typical "Nonya" lunch before taking a stroll through the Antiques Row at Jonker Street.  The visit to Malacca is completed with a stop at Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese Temple in Malaysia.
 
Day 11    Kuala Lumpur - Hong Kong - Canada
Transfer to airport and depart for your home.  It is the same day when you arrive home as you will re-cross the International Dateline.
