TOUR ITINERARY

 

Day 1 (Sun) Hometown – Narita

You begin your adventure. Depart from your hometown on Japan Airlines to Narita. En-route you will cross the International Dateline.

 

Day 2 (Mon) Arrive Narita - Tokyo

Arrive Narita International Airport, you will be met by our representative and assisted to board on an airport bus to hotel.
Hotel: Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa or similar

 

Day 3 (Tue) Tokyo

This morning, you will take a half-day Tokyo city tour. First you will visit the Meiji Shrine, then move onto the Tokyo Tower, which is the world’s tallest self-supporting iron structure, edging out the Eiffel Tower by 13m. Next, visit the Imperial Palace East Garden, comprises the moats and spacious plaza between the east side of the Imperial Palace & the Marunouchi Office buildings. Tour disbands in Ginza, where is now leading shopping place in Tokyo. Afternoon at your free of leisure.  Return to your accomodation on your own.

 

Day 4 (Wed) Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone

Pack your overnight necessaries in your hand carry, your suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to Kyoto while you will stay in Hakone tonight. En-route to Hakone, you will visit the Mt. Fuji 5th station, Owakudani Boiling Valley, Hakone Ropeway and take a boat cruise on Lake Ashi. After the tour, you will be transferred to hotel in Hakone by taxi. (L)

Day 5 (Thu) Hakone - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto

Transfer to Odawara or Atami Station by private car. Then, take a bullet train to Kyoto. Your own arrangement to hotel. This afternoon, take an excursion to Nara and visit the Todaiji Temple with Great Buddha, Kasuga Shrine and Nara Park.
Hotel: New Miyako Hotel or similar

 

Day 6 (Fri) Kyoto

This morning in Kyoto, visi the Nijo Castle, Golden Pavilion, Kyoto Imperial Palace (Sat., and Sun., Nishi Honganji instead) and Kyoto Handicraft Center. Afternoon is free at your lesiure.

 

Day 7 (Sat) Kyoto - Beijing

Transfer to Kansai International Airport by Airport Shuttle Van.  Fly to Beijing.  Arrive in Beijing, China’s seventh-century-old capital. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to the hotel.
Hotel: Chang An Grand Hotel or similar
 
Day 8 (Sun) Beijing

Your tours start in the morning to Tian’anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world with the capacity of 1 million people. Next, Forbidden City located in the centre of Beijing, it’s the largest existing, best preserved imperial palace in the world today covering a total area of 720,000 square meters. Then, the Summer Palace presents a breathtaking arrangement of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions, a fine example of Chinese gardening art. Enjoy Peking Opera at evening. (B/L/D)

 

Day 9 (Mon) Beijing

Following breakfast, drive to the Badaling section of the Great Wall, the world’s greatest man-made structure winding dragon-like across Northern China and praised as a "Wonder of the World". This is the only earthly evidence of man visible from the moon. Next, visit one of the Changling of Ming Tombs with Sacred way, a boulevard lined with sculpted stone animals. Visit a Jade stone carving factory en eoute. (B/L)

 

Day 10 (Tue) Beijing

This morning, visit the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th Century architecture inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritages List. After lunch, you will take a Hutong tour. Hutongs are age-old urban lanes unique to Beijing. At present, there are some 4,550 hutongs around Beijing, and the structures that compose the hutongs are mostly residential compounds. Afterwards, visit Pearl Work-shop.   This evening, enjoy Peking Duck Dinner, the no. 1 typical food of Beijing, followed by a cultural show. (B/L/SD)

 

Day 11 (Wed) Beijing – Homeward bound

Bid farewell to China and depart for Vancouver. It is the same day when you arrive home as you will re-cross the International Dateline. (B)
